REGISTER WITH THE PRACTICE
Welcome to Aylesford Medical Centre
If you are new to the ME20 area you are welcome to register with us and our reception staff will be happy to guide you through the procedure. Eligibility can be quickly confirmed from your address so please could provide proof by way of a recent utility bill. We also require one form of photographic ID.
To register with the Practice please come visit us and collect the relevant registration form, this will then need to be completed fully and returned to the Practice. Once returned the registration will take around 1 week to complete onto the system, if you need medication within this time please request this from your previous Practice to cover you.
Please note if you are not within our Practice area, ME20, then we will refuse your registration
Medical treatment is available from the date of registration. Please contact reception for further information.
There are a number of reasons why you may not be able to register with your chosen GP, for example you may live too far away. If this is the case simply choose another GP in your local area.
We have the right to refuse to register patients where necessary.
As per BMA Guidelines -
"Practices have only a small degree of discretion under the contract about whether to register the patient.
Practices may only decline to register a patient (whether as a temporary resident or permanent patient) if they have reasonable grounds to do so. These grounds must not be related to their race, gender, social class, age, religion, sexual orientation, appearance, disability or medical condition."
